Public Exhibition coming for Winnersh Relief Road

by Prue Bray on 6 September, 2017

In case you have not received it, here is a message sent out by the Borough Council about a public exhibition on the Relief Road:

“Wokingham Borough Council aims to submit a planning application for the Winnersh Relief Road Phase 2 project at the end of November / early December this year.

Before the planning application is submitted, the Council will be holding an exhibition of the proposed alignment.

The Council has undertaken significant site investigations, ecology surveys, plus design and analysis. This work will accompany the planning application and be in accordance with recognised national and European standards. A summary of this work will be presented at the exhibition.

The exhibition itself is not a consultation, although comments and observations will be welcomed through our online feedback questionnaire with paper copies available at the exhibition. The feedback will be summarised in the Statement of Community Engagement document and submitted as part of the planning application.  Please remember, the four-week period after the application is submitted is when formal feedback into the plans can be officially lodged and taken into consideration. Details of how to submit formal feedback on the application will be given at the exhibitions.

Manned exhibitions will be held at Winnersh Community Centre, Mole Road, Sindlesham, Wokingham, RG41 5DU, which will provide an opportunity for you to view and comment on the proposals. Full details of these events are as follows:

Wednesday 13th September 2017 from 9am to 6pm at Allnatt Pavilion.

Saturday 16th September 2017 from 1pm to 6pm at Winnersh Hall.

Monday 18th September 2017 from 6pm to 9pm at Allnatt Pavilion.

In addition, the information provided at the public exhibitions will be on display boards at Wokingham Borough Council, Civic Offices, Shute End, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 1WL.

Tuesday 19th September 2017 to Tuesday 10th October 2017.

If you cannot attend the exhibition in person the display boards, leaflet, feedback form and FAQs will also be available on the council’s corporate website from 13th September 2017 at:

http://www.wokingham.gov.uk/parking-road-works-and-transport/road-works-and-road-closures/winnersh-relief-road/

Once the application has been submitted, details on how to officially lodge feedback will be posted on the council’s planning portal and Facebook and Twitter platforms. Details will also be available via the link above. Please remember submissions made during the four-week period do not receive a written response from the Council.”

Once you have seen the exhibition I would be happy to hear your comments too!
