Thought for the day in the General Election campaign in Wokingham:   what price promises?

 Lots of parties and lots of individual candidates will be making lots of promises over the next few weeks.  None of them are worth the paper they’re are written on unless they say how they are going to be achieved and how they are going to be paid for.

The Lib Dems are promising fair taxes, a fair chance for every child, a fair future: creating jobs by making Britain greener, and a fair deal – cleaning up politics.  We have produced a fully funded set of manifesto commitments and we are telling you exactly how we are going to deliver on our promises.   Have the others done that?   I think not.
